Lingering Questions about the Indonesian 2013 Curriculum

Regarding 2013 Curriculum of English Teaching in Indonesia, I actually still have a couple of questions. Two of them are:

  1. What is the implication of thematic approach to the evaluation of students’ progress in the National Exam? What kind of exam would be used to test the students?
  2. In India, the number of teachers familiar with the thematic approach is averagely low. However, a lot of schools there begin to apply this approach. Many institutes there provide teacher training courses so that the teachers can be more familiar with this approach. If this also happens in Indonesia, what can we do to increase the number of teachers familiar with this approach?
